Golden turmeric chia pudding

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 cup plant milk of choice
  • ½ tsp ground turmeric
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 1–2 tsp maple syrup
  • Toppings: mango, pistachio, coconut

Method

  1. Whisk the chia seeds, plant milk, turmeric, cinnamon, black pepper and maple syrup together in a bowl or jar.
  2. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then whisk again to break up any clumps that have formed.
  3. Cover and chill for at least 4 hours, or overnight, until thick and spoonable.
  4. Stir, then layer into glasses with your toppings. Finish with a little extra coconut and serve cool.

The pinch of black pepper helps your body absorb the turmeric — small detail, big difference. Replace with your own tip.
